The ClearPath System
The Nexan ClearPath System acquires and records up to 24 hours of respiration, cardiac event and oxygen saturation data wherever the patient is, at home, or out and about.
The ClearPath System is easy to apply, comfortable in use and provides high resolution data recording.
It is a revolutionary advancement in the recording and analysis of cardiac and pulmonary vital signs data offering patients a high level of comfort and mobility, improving patient compliance and providing caregivers a continuous stream of relevant cardiopulmonary data. Nexan's non-invasive, wireless approach is a comprehensive solution to expert patient care.
Nexan Inc
Nexan Inc is dedicated to increasing the awareness, understanding and treatment of disorders related to cardiac and pulmonary functions. By bringing together technologies, clinical research and cardiology and pulmonary professionals, Nexan is promoting awareness and improved patient care.
The number of heart failure patients in the U.S. is 5 million and increasing to 10 million by 2010. Published data has shown that 50% of these patients suffer from sleep disordered breathing, and that they cannot be properly identified without a sleep test. Data also shows that untreated patients survive half as long as disease free and treated patients. Treating sleep disordered breathing in cardiology patients improves outcomes, quality of life, and risk factors.
At present less than 5% of heart failure patients are tested for sleep disordered breathing because of limited access to a simple, cost-effective device to get quality data. At present, the only way to differentiate between disordered breathing and heart failure symptoms is with expensive, patient unfriendly, overnight sleep studies.
